Easy Cooking Ways started with a simple frustration: too many kitchen gear guides repeat a manufacturer’s marketing copy without ever checking it against the specification. We built this site to do the checking — and to be straight with you about how we do it.
We are a specification-led review site. We do not buy, cook with or lab-test the products we write about, and we will never tell you we did. What we do instead is read the published specifications closely, weigh them against what actually decides performance in each category, and tell you plainly when a manufacturer has left something out — because an unanswered question is itself worth knowing before you buy.
How We Research and Review
Every recommendation on Easy Cooking Ways goes through the same process before it is published:
- Published specifications first. Materials, dimensions, capacity, weight, heat limits and construction come from the manufacturer’s own listing and documentation.
- Gaps are stated, not filled. Where a maker does not publish a figure, we say it is not listed rather than estimating it. A number nobody published is not a number we will print.
- Claims are checked against sources. Safety and performance points are checked against bodies such as the FDA, NSF, ASTM and the CPSC and cited where they matter. Any sentence carrying a figure we cannot trace to a source is removed before publication.
- No hands-on testing, and no pretending otherwise. We do not cook with, wear or lab-test the products we write about. Our guides are researched and drafted with automated tools working from the sources above and checked against them before publishing.
- Independent opinions. Our reviews and recommendations are never paid for by manufacturers. If a product doesn’t hold up, we say so.
- Regular updates. Product lines change. We revisit our guides periodically to keep pricing, availability, and recommendations current.

Who Writes What
James Whitfield — Cookware & Bakeware
The byline for our cookware and bakeware coverage: pots, pans, Dutch ovens and baking sheets. Guides published under it weigh base construction and gauge, coating type and its stated heat limit, and oven-safe temperature — and note which of those the maker has documented and which it has not.
Marcus Reed — Specialty Gear & Storage and Organization
The byline for our storage, organisation and specialty-gadget coverage. Guides published under it ask what a single-purpose tool has to earn against the tool already in the drawer, and judge storage on published dimensions, material and load rating rather than on styling.
Daniel Cole — Kitchen Tools & Kitchen Knives
The byline for our knife and kitchen-tool coverage. Guides published under it read steel type, hardness rating, blade geometry, tang construction and handle material, and explain what each one predicts about edge retention, balance and how long a tool lasts.
Brian Sutton — Kitchen Appliances & Kitchen Electrics
The byline for our small-appliance coverage: blenders, air fryers, stand mixers and kitchen electrics. Guides published under it work from rated power, capacity, motor and drive construction, published safety certifications and the manufacturer’s own operating limits.
Our Commitment to You
We know trust is earned, not claimed. That is why we tell you exactly where our information comes from, why every affiliate relationship is disclosed, and why we would rather print “the manufacturer does not list this” than a confident-sounding guess. You can read more about how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy and our site rules in our Terms and Conditions.
